Sheraton Hotels & Resorts NASDAQ:MAR launches ‘Go Beyond’ Campaign
Dave Winfield teams with Sheraton for “Beyond Influential” portion of the Campaign
In early May 2017 Sheraton launched its campaign to recognize, acknowledge and train its 100,000 employees as part of its 80 th anniversary celebration, with a global advertising campaign called “Go Beyond”. The campaign is designed to highlight the exceptional service provide by their associates,; services that go beyond expectations, building on the great culture of service and accommodation for guests they’ve established over the years. Sheraton has over 450 hotels in 75 different countries.
In addition to the campaign for their associates and employees, this entire month the campaign unveiled another component of the campaign called “Beyond Influential”. This is a series of video of interviews by high profile Major League Baseball Legends who speak on how people have gone beyond for them, and the profound impact these people have had on their lives. Baseball fans have an in depth look at stories never before told before by these baseball heroes, “Beyond Influential” is already appearing in various digital spaces including, Facebook.com/beyondinfluential or YouTube.com/beyondinfluential.
Dave Winfield, Hall of Famer, is the final installment this month on YouTube. He and current MLB Players Kyle Schwarber, Chicago Cubs, Andrew McCutcheon, Pittsburgh Pirates, and retired Boston Red Sox, Shane Victorino all conducted interviews with their mentors, and those interviews have appeared weekly over the past month, and now the Winfield segment will begin airing online May 24 th .
Dave Winfield said, “I chose to recognize and thank Bill Peterson, my youth baseball coach, who had a mentoring effect on my career and life. With his input and hands on approach I used baseball and the lessons learned from the sport to make it to the top of my industry and go on to lead a positive lifestyle. Although my family set the foundation for success, Bill was there as both a stabilizing force and one who made me believe in myself. I’ll always appreciate what he did for me”.
